What are you grateful for?
I grew up in the small town of Croton-on-Hudson, New York, along the beautiful Hudson River, but the island of St. Croix is where I began to feel connected to our enviornment. I explored the coastline and salty waters and there I learned about the joy of life and fostered my love for the endless ocean. I am grateful for those experiences because they have made me into the person I am today.
I believe that we each have the opportunity to open ourselves up to this world we live in and listen and learn all that we can to create a more balanced and peaceful world. Develop your passion in ideas and actions that define you, but stay malleable. Every once in a while question your actions and understand why you do certain acts. We must always be re-examining all that we have been taught in books, at school, from our peers, and even the ones we admire.
My interests and passions include sustainability as a broad topic, teaching children, local food & farmers markets, brewing kombucha, knitting, primitive skills, making fires, scuba diving, beekeeping, cycling, snowboarding/skiing, hiking, reading, cooking/baking, traveling, and so much more.
